- What is a 4.0 GPA scale?
- The 4.0 scale assigns numerical values to letter grades: A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0, D=1.0, F=0.0. Plus and minus grades adjust these values by ±0.3 or ±0.7.
- How is GPA calculated?
- GPA = Total Quality Points ÷ Total Credit Hours. Quality points = grade value × credit hours for each course.
- What is a good GPA?
- A GPA of 3.5 or above is generally considered excellent. Most graduate schools require a minimum GPA of 3.0.
